My Blush Collection – The Good, The Bad And The Not Worth Your Money!

Considering just two years ago I hated blush, I’ve got quite a collection going for me now!

I know blush is all the rage at the moment, but for me it’s honestly one of my favourite steps. I’m never without it, it livens up the complexion and adds that healthy flush of colour that I find so flattering. I don’t know why I was so scared of it for so long, maybe because I already have red tones in my cheeks, or because I’m such a clutz and in an eternal state of embarrassment.

My hearty collection here started with one from Revolution, in the shade Pink Lady (pictured below) which is a beautiful hot pink shade. When I found myself using this more and more I picked up more in this bright beautiful shade, this is by far my most common shade in my collection as its one I simply love all year round.

Matte powders are always so versatile, but sometimes that light glow is very much welcome. The Milani baked blush in Berry Amore is *chefs kiss* a staple in my winter makeup bag. The warm tone lends itself so perfectly for the cooler months, and the slight gold shimmer is soft enough to add a gentle luminosity to the skin. Onto the bad now, the sleek blush in Rose Gold. Unfortunately the shimmer is too intense for me to use on the cheeks, for an eyeshadow topper however its lovely. Would I buy again? No, but I will endeavour to finish this pan.

For a non powder blush, I have a few in this section too. The Putty Blushers from E.L.F. are phenomenal, the two shades I have are Bora Bora (my perfect summer shade) and Tahiti (my perfect winter shade). These get a tonne of use in my routine, if in doubt the putty blush is always a solid choice. The SuperDewy Liquid blushers from Revolution are a newer addition, but they are also really beautiful. I will have a whole post on these shades soon.

If you want to see all these products and more details on each one, I have a whole video for my collection here. I’d love it if you would check it out and leave a comment over there if you’ve come from this post!

Whats your favourite blush at this time of year? Are any of my favourites here your faves too?

  1. I also used to avoid blushes before, I mostly used bronzer because I wanted to look sun-kissed all year round, but lately I’ve been loving blushes too! Thanks for the review, I would love to try the Milani one. <3

  9. I basically only wear liquids and creams these days. I still have a few powders but they barely get used now. I love cream blush but I’ve never really enjoyed using pots so I’m yet to try the elf ones, maybe I need to give them a try, sounds like I’m missing out. My absolute favourites are the colourpop blush sticks though! x

  10. I love Hourglass or Charlotte Tilbury blushers. xx

  14. it’s great you have such a collection! I don’t wear makeup now but when I did I just had one blush that was my go-to, I’d only replace it when it ran out. It was a Tarte one and it worked well!

Hope you are having a nice weekend 🙂

  16. I don’t wear blush but I have been thinking of trying it now and then. I tried one from MILK in Sephora and I really liked it. I think I am going to go back and get it. You have an AMAZING collection!
