Just because I’ve used it up, doesn’t mean I loved it, and I’ll start with that. I hate waste, so unless a product causes me serious problems I will continue to use it up. I feel that’s particularly important with this list, because I don’t want to promote things that I don’t like, and some of these products I felt just didn’t work.
I love reading these posts from other people as it gives an insight as to what products were so good that they get completely used up. Sometimes it takes a while to see results or decide if a product really works for my skin or hair type. So by the time I’ve used up the whole product, I usually have a pretty good idea of if I liked it, hated it, or most importantly would be willing to spend my money on it again.
Garnier Hair Foods Banana Hair Mask
This is such a cult classic, everyone loves it, and I am absolutely one of them! I use it as my every day conditioner, but also as a mask if I’m having a leasurely bath and can leave it on for longer. It smells divine, lasts forever and leaves my hair feeling fabulous.
10/10 – I will always rebuy
Superdrug Vitamin E In Shower Moisturiser
This product had all the potential to be a firm favourite, anything that saves me time in the shower and helps moisturize my skin is a win for me. However this product didn’t really fit into my shower routine, I expected to be able to use this as a shower gel but it didn’t lather or make me feel clean. So instead of this replacing my shower gel and adding in some extra moisture, it became an extra step which also didn’t make a huge difference to the feel of my skin. I have rated this purely on the lovely honey scent, but in terms of what it actually claims, it’s a no from me.
2/10 – wouldn’t buy again.
Simple Hydrating Water Cream
For in the morning with SPF drops added in, or in the evening with my other serums, this is such a staple in my skincare routine. I used to love the Simple Skin Quench Sleeping Cream but it seems impossible to find recently, but it is a gel and feels very similar. Super hydrating, lightweight but nourishing, the perfect everyday light moisturiser.
10/10 – Always repurchase, already have two spares on my makeup table!
Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
I originally bought this as a replacement for the Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish, which I was very loyal to despite the hefty price tag. After the first use I was sold, it feels exactly the same and the only notable difference is the scent so for the £20 price difference I’m happy to compromise. I always use this as my second cleanse, and it leaves my skin feeling super clean but not stripped. I could just use this and not have to follow with a moisturizer, I always do but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry like other cleansers sometimes do.
9/10 – I will always rebuy
L’Oréal Paris Dream Lengths Rapid Reviver
I saw Fleur De Force mention this conditioner in a video, and it sounded like my kinda product. Ultimately this is a hair mask that is super hydrating but requires no leave in time, I however do leave this on for as long as possible. I use this maybe once every two weeks, and I tend to use it when I treat myself to a bath so I can sit and let this brew in my hair for a while. It hydrates so intensely and always leaves my hair feeling silky soft, it is so easy to brush after I’ve used this and looks so healthy and shiny. It smells lovely too which is always a bonus!
10/10 – I will always rebuy
Vera Wang Princess Perfume
What. A. Classic. Didn’t every 17 year old have this or Ghost, it takes me right back every time I smell it. I was actually wearing this scent when me and Phil got engaged two years ago, it’s such a lovely fruity feminine scent that’s really soft and wearable. I just love this perfume, it’s not a mature grown up woman’s scent, but since I’m a child at heart this is perfect for me.
8/10 – have repurchased in the past, and I have a replacement for this bottle but I’m sure the time will come when I don’t wear this any more.
Dots For Spots
Now I’m not a very spotty gal, I don’t often get a stubborn spot that doesn’t clear itself up after a day or two. If I do get a spot and it’s there for a few days I don’t mind, at the moment I do get a few round my chin and jaw from wearing a mask but that’s understandable. I tried these dots on some spots I had, and I can’t say they really cleared them up any quicker than if I just let them be. If you have very sore red spot, these may work better but for me in didn’t see the benefit in them.
3/10 – I wouldn’t repurchase
L’Oréal Paris True Match Foundation
This is another classic, many moons ago this was everyone’s favourite wasn’t it?! Somewhere in between dream matte mouse and double wear, the right of passage up the foundation hierarchy I’m sure every girl has been through! I still love this foundation, it has skincare benefits as well as being one of the first shade inclusive colour ranges which is amazing! I wear the shade 1.R Rose Ivory and that’s my perfect winter shade. Over the last year or so I’ve tried many foundations, so for that reason I wouldn’t rebuy as I’ve found ones I prefer, but it is a lovely foundation that I would recommend if you have dry or normal skin.
7/10 – I wouldn’t personally repurchase but I do recommend it.
Have you tried any of these products, what did you think of them?

It’s such a throwback isn’t it, I still love it though! 😜 X
It’s such a shame about the vitamin E shower gel, it sounded amazing! I love products that mean you can moisturise in the shower, it’s so much easier. The hair mask sounds amazing, I read that Garnier are becoming cruelty free now so I need to give it a go x
It’s such a good one, and the smell is 😌 x
These all look SOO good!

It’s so good right?! I can’t wait to try the other ones in the range!x
I love seeing what products people have used up. I also hate waste so even if I wasn’t a fan of the product I will still try and use it up. I used to love the Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser but I’ve replaced it with The Body Shop’s Chamomile Butter which is lovely!
Tash – A Girl with a View

Well they didn’t work for me, but that’s not to say they won’t work for you! I’ve seen a lot of people using them so they must work for some people 🙈 x
I have never heard of the banana hair moisturizer – it looks so intriguing! I have been self-dying my hair and I think I may need to look into getting extra hair care products for it. This seems like something I may have to pick up 🙂
