A Small Haul – The New In Beauty Products I’ve Purchased This Month

I know so many people have been taking part in #nospendjanuary but honestly, this time of year is just the best for new releases I can’t resist. Its also my birthday in early January, and as if a cold winter birthday isn’t bad enough I can’t then be restricting myself from what I enjoy which happens to be really good food, really good wine, and really good beauty products!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

What a classic, I saw this on Danielle’s blog (linked here) and remembered how much I enjoyed it years ago. If I remember rightly it has fantastic coverage and feels hydrating on the under eyes, which is a huge problem area for me. They’ve certainly added more shades since the last time I’ve bought this which is brilliant. I haven’t broken into this one yet as I’m finishing up my favourite Collection Stretch concealer first.

Revolution Pro Rockstar Matte Liquid Eyeliner

Oh another eyeliner to try, this one is rated 4 out of 5 on the Superdrug website so please keep your fingers crossed for me! It claims to be fast drying and smudge resistant, as always I will report back with my thoughts but I have high hopes. I enjoy other liners that are in little pots like this such as the collection fast strokes one, but I don’t like the applicator in that one as its not precise enough for me, this one has a brush so hopefully I’ll be able to get a nice sharp wing.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow

I love me a cream eyeshadow, I have a few from Barry M that I reach for all the time but they only have 6 shades and I wanted something more of a nude rose gold shade. Enter, Color Tattoo in Pink Gold. This looks like the most beautiful subtle pink shimmer which is exactly what I was hoping for, I want something I can wear everyday to just add a little jazz to the eyelid without it being too overpoweringly glittery.

Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette

When I saw Juvia’s Place was now stocked on Superdrug I was so excited! I’ve heard the most amazing things about their eyeshadows so naturally I bought two. This is a nine pan warm brown, gold and bronze palette and although its fairly basic shades, the formulas look incredible. A mixture of mattes and shimmers that look out of this world, I think this will easily become my everyday palette.

Juvia’s Place The Mauves Eyeshadow Palette

It was so hard to choose which colourful palette I wanted, I could have picked them all in all honesty. I deliberated between this one and The Sweet Pinks but settled for this one because that middle shade on the bottom row just spoke to me. I also prefer that this one has 4 matte and 2 shimmer, rather than The Sweet Pinks which is 3 of each formula. I can see so many looks I can create with this, from more natural washes of colour to really building it up for a glam look, I love these tones on myself and had to resist using this before I took these pictures!

If these palettes live up to my expectations I also want to try the Zulu Palette which is a nine pan neon bright palette, obviously has my name all over it! Unfortunately it was out of stock when I ordered these but its 100% next on my list!

Have you been taking part in #nospendjanuary or have you splurged on something new to start 2022? Let me know!
