The Make Up Products I LOVE And Will ALWAYS Repurchase.

I often find myself constantly wanting to try the newest products to release, with the biggest and best claims to give you the longest wear or the most flawless skin of your life. In reality, these claims rarely come to fruition, and once again I go back to the same old products that I now I can rely on. New products will come and go, but these old faithful products will always live in my makeup bag.

Basically, if I lost my whole make up collection, which items would I repurchase first? These are my staples that I know I can rely on, apply in the dark and be confident with.

L’Oreal Paris Glow Cherie Natural Glow Enhancer

https://www.boots.com/loreal-paris-glow-cherie-natural-glow-enhancer-liquid-highlighter-10267242

I use this as a primer, all over my face to add the tiniest bit of colour but more importantly, the glow. I find this makes any foundation look more luminous, and I just adore how any foundation looks over the top. It is insanely glowy, but not chunky glittery, and it just makes me look more alive. Always goals. On no makeup days, this lightly patted on the high points adds a hint of soft luminosity that just looks beautiful.

NYX Born To Glow Foundation

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Foundation/Liquid-Foundation/NYX-Professional-Makeup-Born-To-Glow-Foundation-Light/p/791123

I already mentioned this in my post about the best foundations for dry skin that you can read here, but of all of the ones mentioned in that post, this is the one I would reach for over any other. Especially over the last few months of cold weather, but equally I don’t see me changing my mind coming into spring and summer. The coverage and feel is light, but its just enough that I feel sufficiently covered, without being weighed down. It blends out like a dream, lasts all day, looks glowy and soft but not oily or greasy… Dream!

Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Concealer

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Concealer/Revolution-Conceal-%26-Hydrate-Concealer-C3/p/778931

For the under eyes, which can tend to look dry and cakey, this is my ride or die. Its hydrating and smooth, and I find that even if I don’t set it, it still lasts so beautifully on the skin. It is worth noting my skin is really dry, so setting powder is a bit of a grey zone for me. The colour range for any revolution products is always top notch, so you can perfectly match your colour AND undertone. This concealer is highly rated by so many people in the online space, and I am absolutely one of them.

Loreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette

Link here

This is a cream contour palette, which means the product wont be as drying on the skin as say, a powder. Did I mention I have dry skin? I love cream products, but some I find don’t blend out as nicely, this one however… I think I’ve been repurchasing this for about 5 years, yeah, its good! The colour is the perfect cool toned contour shade for my skin tone, and its so easy to use and blend that it makes it by go to every single day. The colour blends out to look like an actual shadow, under the cheeks and chin to give illusion of less chins, win!

Flower Beauty Flower Pot Powder Blush

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Blusher/Flower-Beauty-Flower-Pots-Powder-Blush-Wildrose/p/793808

This shade is called Wildrose, which I appreciate looks neon hot pink. Don’t be scared of it! I’m sure the other shades are awesome too if they’re more your jam, but I’ve only tried this one and I simply will not hear a bad word about it. Especially over the last few weeks while it’s been a little chillier, this is the most beautiful soft just in from the cold flush to the cheeks. It isn’t completely matte, but equally it has no shimmer to it either. It looks like a satin finish on the skin that’s so buttery soft, it blurs over the surface and just looks incredible.

Maybelline Master Chrome Extreme Highlight

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Highlighter/Maybelline-Master-Chrome-Extremes-200-Diamond-Glow/p/765978

I’ve written about this product before here, so I wont ramble on for too long. But the main takeaway from this particular highlight over the others I have tried (and I’ve tried MANY) is that this leaves no trace of chunky glitter on the face BUT gives the most intense glow I’ve ever tried. I can’t speak for everyone of course, but I like a glow that warns the aliens to stay away. This one delivers from the tiniest dip into the product, I’m sure I’ll never have to rebuy it because you need the smallest amount to tin man your whole face.

SHEGLAM Dual-Ended Fine Eyebrow Pencil

https://www.shein.co.uk/Dual-Ended-Fine-Eyebrow-Pencil-Dark-Brown-p-843078-cat-2253.html?

To start, £2.49 for an eyebrow pencil. Yes please! Okay so, it does come from China and you have to wait three weeks for delivery, but in my opinion it’s so worth it! The colour is the perfect shade for me, there’s no warm undertone that I find so unflattering in so many affordable brow products. The nib is thin enough to create hair like strokes, but can also quickly and easily fill in the whole brow with little effort. I’ve had mine for around six months and I’ve used it pretty much every time I’ve worn makeup since. In case I need to remind you, we’ve been in lockdown for pretty much that whole time, so yes I haven’t worn it every day, but it’s certainly had its fair share of use, and I’m still on the first one! Which reminds me, I’d better get on now and get a replacement or five to keep me well stocked.

Revolution Brow Gel

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eye-Makeup/Eyebrows/Eyebrow-Gel/Revolution-Brow-Gel-Dark-Brown/p/791532

To fix the brows in place, and define each individual little hair, this is the best I’ve tried. Admittedly, I haven’t tried all that many, but this one ticks all my boxes. This layered over the pencil mentioned above, give me the easiest brows of dreams in the quickest time. The colour is slightly darker than the pencil, so the combination of both when my blonde hair is grown out and the brunette is taking over is perfection. I love a dark strong brow anyway, but this with my darker hair is right up my street.

Revolution Forever Flawless Eye Shadow Palette

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eye-Makeup/Eye-Shadow/Eye-Shadow-Palettes/Revolution-Forever-Flawless-Eye-Shadow-Palette-Allure/p/786545

A colourful bright eye shadow is all good and well, but a pink brown nude smokey eye will get you through the everyday and for that reason, that’s why I’ve picked this palette. All the Forever Flawless palettes I’ve tried are amazing quality and the selection of formulas and colours are beautiful. If you just want to do a simple one swipe of colour across the lid or you want to do a more complex layered smokey eye, this palette would apply for both situations. The matte shades blend seamlessly while also applying an intense colour payoff, she shimmers are beautifully pigmented and really impactful, and the combination of other formulas make such a versatile palette that I would repurchase if and when this original one is no longer.

e.l.f. Glitter Melt Liquid Eyeshadow

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eye-Makeup/Eye-Shadow/Single-Eye-Shadow/e-l-f-Glitter-Melt-Liquid-Eyeshadow-Firty-Birdy/p/793230

Who saw this coming? I’ve only spoken online about this product seven trillion times. If you need a lil pop of glitter or a full lid covered in sparkles, this product is so versatile and I have every single colour. If I could only repurchase one, it would be this shade called Flirty Birdy because its so beautiful. The base colour is a light nude pink tone, with gold and silver glitters that can be sheered out or built up. If I’m doing glam, weather that’s to actually go somewhere other than ASDA or just to make myself feel better, this for sure being used. And its only £5, vegan and cruelty free.

SHEGLAM ON FLEEK Long Lasting Liquid Eyeliner

https://www.shein.co.uk/ON-FLEEK-Long-Lasting-Liquid-Eyeliner-Black-p-931259-cat-2255.html?

This has had a name change since the last time I looked, so if you’ve ever heard me bang on about the diamond silk liquid eyeliner, it’s now called On Fleek which is much more fitting. I am such a liner novice, I’m honestly rubbish at it, they never ever match and before this product I just hated doing wing liner but LOVED the look. Then this eyeliner pen came into my life and now I live my best wing life on the regular now because this makes it so. damn. easy! The nib is the perfect size to create the perfect size wing, the liquid is black and liquid-y enough to glide flawlessly over the lid and stay all day, even after a date with Marley and Me. Enough said.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eye-Makeup/Mascara/Maybelline-Lash-Sensational-Mascara-Very-Black-9-5ml/p/348705

There’s a reason this is nations number one or something along those lines, this really is such a good mascara. Length and volume that lasts all day, doesn’t transfer (on me at least) and is done in two coats. It has a plastic bristle wand, which isn’t normally my favourite, I generally tend to prefer a natural bristle wand but this just works so well. It’s so easy to swipe on once for a natural look or twice for ultimate lash goals. The staying power is that keeps me coming back for more, maybe I just have sweaty oily eyelids but mascaras often don’t stay on my lashes without transferring to the upper and lower lid but this one rarely budges.

Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon

https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Lips/Lip-Crayons/Maybelline-Superstay-Ink-Crayon-30-Seek-Adventure/p/778285

I think I have about 7 of these crayons, the colour range is amazing! There are 18 shades in total and I can say that this one, 30 Seek Adventure, going right up to the darkest red I have, 50 Own Your Empire, are such a phenomenal formula I wouldn’t want to be without them. I reach for these on a variety of days weather I’m doing a full glam or natural look. The finish is matte, the colour payoff is impressive and it stays all day really comfortably. If I had to pick one colour, it would be 30 Seek Adventure as its the perfect mix for me of baby pink and nude where it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing Barbies lipstick but it’s still definitely a pink tone that’s super soft and feminine for so many occasions an different looks.

What are your ride or die favourite products, what would you pick if you could only have one of each product? Let me know!

Enjoy, Milli x

  1. I love how we all have our own personal favorite products we keep repurchasing! I love testing out new products but I still have products I just keep purchasing because I don’t want to run out. The Maybelline Lash Sensational is a mascara I have always laying around, as a backup, because I know it’s good and I just want it around even though I’m not currently using it. I really want to try the Master Chrome highlighters though!
