A St Patricks Day Makeup Look – Affordable Green And Gold Glitter Glam

You don’t have to ask me twice to do a green or glittery makeup look, so when I realised St Patricks day is next week I jumped at the chance to create a look for it. Using all old drugstore favourites, but in a way I’ve never used them before!

Creating a simple smokey eye, but with the most vibrant of greens from one of my favourite brights pallets, the Forever Flawless Chilled palette from Revolution. I blended out ‘Relax’ and ‘Cool’ in the crease and blended right out into the eyebrow, then built up ‘Leaf’ on the lid and added depth to the outter lid and crease with ‘Plant’. I added some ‘Candy Land’ to the lid for a little shimmer, then moved onto the lower lash line.

This is where I strayed from the path, I took my all time favourite product from ELF; the Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in 24K Gold, and packed it all along the lower lash line. I didn’t blend or add anything else to the undereye, but made sure the glitter would be super visible even after I’d applied lots of mascara to the lower lashes. The glitter is so chunky and bright, the undereye really popped with that colour, so I dialled it back a little with a small amount of black liner in the water line then built up lots of heavy layers of mascara to add drama.

I kept the rest of the face simple, with a light to medium base, a little blush and plenty of highlight. A nude lip courtesy of Mac Love U Back and Rimmel Lip Liner in Rose Addiction finishes the look and lasts all day.

I did film this look for my YouTube channel, but unfortunately there was a problem with the audio so pictures will have to do for this year!

Do you get glam for St Patricks Day? What other holidays or events should I create looks for over on my YouTube channel?
