I just love trying new foundations, as well as all other makeup products of course, but there’s something so transformative about foundation. A good base can give you so much confidence and take an everyday look to something just a bit more. If you’ve been around here for any time at all, you’ll know I have the driest skin, so obviously this foundation spoke to me.
This foundation is also vegan and cruelty free, as well as being only £8.99 for 25ml of product!

First Impression
The tube has a nozzle to squeeze out the product rather than a pump, this doesn’t completely offend me but I do tend to prefer a pump as it’s just cleaner and easier. The product is very thick, it stayed in a dome on the back of my hand and didn’t run down my hand like I expected it too. The overwhelming thing I noticed when I first applied it to the back of my hand is the smell, if you want to transported back to primary school and arts and crafts then this scent is for you. I however found it really off putting, it smelt so strongly of cheap poster paint I was momentarily reluctant to put it on my face.
I used my trusty eco sponge to dab the foundation all over my face, and at first I was having a bit of a struggle blending it out. It seemed to be drying on the skin so quickly that it wasn’t spreading out or blending as quickly as other foundations do. It did eventually blend out with just the sponge, and it also layered well to build up a little more coverage across my cheeks and round my nose where I have a bit of redness. It is also worth noting I didn’t use any primer on this first application.
Wear Test
When the full face was covered and I applied my other base products I felt it all looked a bit dry, I didn’t use any setting powder or powder colour products but I had to use a hydrating setting spray to make my skin feel less tight. It didn’t feel heavy per say, but it did feel dry before I sprayed over the face but that was fixed with a quick spritz to help it sink into the skin.
After an hour or two after the foundation had been sat on my skin I checked my face again, and it looked incredible! My natural oils had come out my skin a bit and settled into the foundation and it looked completely flawless, but not oily or overly shiny. It did just look blurred and, apart from the couple of breakouts I was struggling with, any texture on the skin was hidden.
I wore the foundation for about eight hours, and by the end of the day it still looked just as flawless and blurred. Now granted, I didn’t have a particularly strenuous day nor was it warm or testing but even for an average day I was really impressed with the lasting effect. Everything just looked soft and natural which is never a finish I have wanted before but this foundation made me completely re think that!
Would I Recommend?
I think this foundation would work fantastically on all skin types, it has the soft matte feel I think you’d enjoy if you have oily skin but still feels hydrating on my dry skin. I think the coverage and lasting power are fantastic, I have since tried it with various primers and I haven’t had any issues with any I’ve tried! If your in the market for a medium coverage foundation with a beautiful natural finish I think this would be a great one to try. They also have 24 shades which could be better, but for a drugstore own brand is still better than some!
Have you tried anything from B. by Superdrug? Let me know!

Happy New Year! I’ve not tried this one, but it’s lovely to know how long it lasts.
