October Favourites – What I’ve Been Loving This Month

So comes the end of another month, and a round up of all the things I’ve been loving this month. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of my everyday products have been the same for months, but I’ve changed a few things for the cooler months so I thought a roundup was due. Here’s all the products I’ve been reaching for more this month.

Collection Stretch Concealer

This is such a game changer in my makeup bag. For so long I’ve hated concealer under my eyes, I’ve tried many and they all feel really heavy and dry and few actually give the coverage I want, not that I want full full coverage, but I want something, ya know? Well, this is just beautiful and glowy and hydrating and lasts so incredibly well through the day. I don’t tend to set this down on a day to day basis, but it stays just as glowy even if I do.

I like to change up my makeup most days, just using different products for a basic workday look, but I’ve reached for this pretty much everyday this month. I wear either shade 4 Extra Fair or 5 Fair, both work well under my eyes depending on how bad the dark circles are.

Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore

I got this last Christmas, and until recently I’ve just never grabbed for it regularly. Its a pretty colour and the finish is beautiful with a slight gold reflect to it, but I’ve always felt it just wasn’t quite right for me, until this month. I don’t know if its because I’m wearing more warm coppery tones on my eyes, or more brown nude rather than pink nude on my lips, but this has been my go to blush this month.

It’s described as a peachy bronze with a satin finish, which I would definitely agree with. It has a warm depth to the colour that lends its self so perfectly to this time of year, and the gold flecks in it give the most beautiful subtle glow to the cheeks pre highlighter, that some days I’ve gone without which is a bold step for me, I live for the glow!

Essence False Lash Effect Mascara

If you’ve been anywhere on the internet for any time at all you’ll know how raved about this mascara is, Tati Westbrook and Bailey Sarien both say this is one of their favourites so obviously I had to pick it up. I’ve always ben loyal to Loreal and Maybelline mascaras, on me they’re just the best, but i’m so pleasantly surprised by this one that I’ve been wearing it a tonne this month.

Its definitely intense, when I first used it I hated it. Even me, who lives for a clumpy spidery lash, found it too much. You need to be careful with it, a lot of product comes out on the wand and if you go into your lashes too heavy it just goes everywhere. But with a light touch and two light layers rather than one heavy one, it builds the longest thickest lashes that don’t transfer or smudge through the day. For £3.30 its such a bargain, but really delivers and I’ll definitely be repurchasing. I got mine from Wilko.

Ted Baker Perfume in Mia

This is in no way shape or form an autumnal scent, its floral and sweet and light but I’ve been wearing it pretty much every day. Its not necessarily one I’d rebuy, but for a cheap perfume it lasts really well and the scent is lovely and soft. I do rate Ted Baker perfumes and would be interested to try some of the other from the Sweet Treats collection.

The Inkey List Ceramide Night Treatment

I have absolutely zero knowledge of how ceramides work, but this has saved my skin this month. After the wedding in mid September I totally slacked off any sort of skincare routine, why would I when I had nothing to do it for? Well, obviously, my skin suffered and I’ve been breaking out in loads of spots as well as my skin feeling really dry and tight. This slipped into my skincare routine so seamlessly, and after about a week of using it every other night my skin is pretty much back to how it was. This is super hydrating and soothing, and in the morning my skin looks glowy and beautifully soft, highly recommend if you have dry skin!

What have you been loving this month, any recent purchases that you just cant get enough of, or an old favourite that’s become a current staple? Let me know!
